Earlier this year, the Army Board decided to write to all serving Scottish soldiers and veterans to canvass their opinion on what option the re-organisation of the Scottish regiments should take.  Unfortunately, their were only two options, both of which omitted the option for the status quo, keeping the regiments as they are now - single regiments.  What was instead offered was two choices, decided upon by the Chief of the General Staff and passed to the six Scottish Colonels to send to their individual regiment staff.

An exercise decided to give the Army chiefs a mandate to carry our their plans has backfired - estimates put the figure that rejected the the Executive Army Board's plan at around 80%.

We give the serving soldier and veterans the option now to choose once again.  This time with an extra option to the two options offered previous in the Army's own paper.
